Thoughts on "The Hit"

Three Thoughts:
  1. It was one of the, if not the single, greatest plays of Ryan Clark's career, a shame he won't have any recollection of it.
  2. I heard Santana and CCR while McGahee lie on the field, way to go whatever classless idiot is running the sound board at Heinz Field.
  3. Pittsburgh redeemed itself in the class department though, as the only thing you could hear as McGahee left on the stretcher was a guy yell, "Good Luck Willis". Even after scoring Baltimore's two TDs.

As much as I don't like seeing someone knocked out it's different when it's a Raven. Why? Ray Lewis and his co-criminals were talking trash when Rashard Mendenhall was knocked out of the September game with a broken shoulder.

Besides what do you want them to play a funeral dirge?

Boo on the "classless" DJ call. It was obviously a very long and somber time. No need to freak people out. Keep spirits high. If I am lying there in a state of shock with severe neck pain, I could do worse than the smooth sounds of Santana in the background.

I was expecting something to be said of McGahee during our awards ceremony, though. Or of, um, the Ravens.
